1 Star Anecdotal information, completely off base.
90% of it is anecdotal from her experiences with her own life, she didn’t The studies she used were mostly survey studies (that are very inacurate). The She did/ I did comparison between her and her friend that is perfect and never had a weight problem, isn’t a study at all and it is the basis of the entire book. Just because her friend never ate junk food or “Frankinfood” (her discription of fat free/no sugar food) and only ate organic food is the reason that she didn’t have screwed up homone levels.
I am not saying that we should be careful of what we eat, but to some degree, there is only so much you can do. I mean you can follow all of Jillians rules, through out all cleaners, and non organic foods and medicines, but when you go outside and breathe, you are defeating anything you created in your home.
I actually feel for Jillian, I myself had screwed up hormones, I over exercised and under ate and still hated the way my body looked. I would go and go at the gym for hours, basically I gave my body a beating and still I felt like I needed to lose 15 pounds to like my body. I trained too hard and didn’t feed myself correctly for the movement. I went to the doctor to see if I was hypothyroid. Nope I was just toting the edge, but still in the normal range.
I would cry myself to sleep, out of just pure frustration. One day I came across the Metabolic Repair Manual (http://fatlosstroubleshoot.com) and it completely changed my life. I stopped running my body into the ground and actually started eating twice the amount I had been previously with out gaining weight.
I wouldn’t waste my money on this book if I was you. It is just another book to breed more paranoid people. The 2 books I reccommended really teach you about the body and how it works. Move A Little, Lose a Lot teaches you how to become a more active happier person (without having to burn a thousand calories in the gym)

5 Stars Most helpful book I have read
Wow there are so many things to say about this book. I have been going through my stuff and getting rid of things that are bad but for me it will be a slower process. Everything does cost money and most of us can’t just trash everything we have and buy all new stuff. Luckily my family eats pretty healthy anyway so I didn’t have to much to chunk. I agree with a lot of people on here, you can find ways to buy organic there are so many tips in the book about how to find local farmers markets, buying store brand organic, etc. so there are ways if you really want to do it. I also want to start switching out all my paper towels, toilet paper, bath and body products etc to more eco friendly and body friendly. This book has really inspired me to make changes in my life. I thought I was doing good, really. I try and buy eco friendly cleaners etc but I really didn’t know what that meant I guess. Her book is fantastic and it really is a must read for everyone I think. There are so many things that I am learning in this book that I want to do. It really makes you want to take charge of what is going into your body. We aren’t going to do it overnight, it takes work to break habits that we have been doing for so many years. But it is worth it. I agree with everything in her book, we shouldn’t be sticking all of these chemicals in our bodies. She is brilliant and I have become a huge fan of hers. She really does know what she is talking about and she has taken the time to give us the right information. I had no idea she had a problem with her thyroid. That makes me feel so much better. She has hypothyroid and I have Hyperthyroid but just knowing she has helped her thyroid on her plan encourages me to really start getting my stuff together. I can’t wait to be happier and healthier.

5 Stars Jillian wouldn’t want you to buy her book if….
Don’t waste your time with this book if you don’t care about being healthy and doing whatever it takes like spending a few extra dollars to buy organic to get there. You rather put unhealthy food in your body than throw it out? That makes no sense to me. You can buy organic and Costco, Safeway, Trader Joes, Fred Myer, etc. it doesn’t have to be from a health food store, it doesn’t have to be expensive. Aren’t you worth what ever you spend on organics? People worry more about saving the environment than saving themselves. They say that every little thing you do not to throw something in a landfill counts. Isn’t that the same for what you put in your body or don’t put in your body? Who will be around to enjoy a better environment if we are all dying off earlier than we need to be? How much do you spend on crappie food? How much do you spend on beer or wine? How much do you spend on smoking? I am so tired of people blaming the economic downfall on eating poorly. If you don’t have time or money to spend on getting healthy now you will spend time and money on getting sick later.

This is a great book…one that surprised me in its thoroughness and message. I highly recommend picking it up, just not on the Kindle. This is primarily because there are numerous charts that show up as an image that are far too small to read and the whole last 1/4 of the book consists of lists and recipes that would be much easier to use if you had the book vs the smallness of the Kindle screen.

5 Stars Easy, Tasty
Just try it! I was not a big fan of Rose’s previous book, but this one worked for me. I gamely decided to just try her 21 day plan and see what happened. The food was easy to prepare, and, for the most part, tasted good. I passed on the dry brushing and colon cleansing, but the diet alone made a big difference.
Be sure to get yourself a good juicer before starting.

This is the first raw food book I bought. Natalia Rose does a great job of walking you though the process.. her book the raw food detox diet is also a must! For those who want to step in slightly.. .there are a few dishes that are cooked so it is a great starter book. However, it is just a great book period! Excellent information.
5 Stars Bar none, my favorite raw recipe book
When I first tried raw, I started with Juliano’s “Raw, the Uncook Book.” I loved the food, but didn’t have the ingredients or time to make the creations in it. I was discouraged for a long time.
Then I discovered Natalia Rose. While I still recommend “The Raw Food Detox Diet” for initiating new raw foodies, “Raw Food Life Force Energy” has by far the best recipes. With about eight ingredients, a juicer and a blender, you can make everything in this book in less than 20 minutes.
While I think the recipes are the standout in this book, I also really love the extra time she spends explaining food combining. This topic can really be confusing, and it really helped me that all the recipes are coded so you know what to eat with what.
I have been successfully food combining now pretty regularly for several months, and I shed 10 pounds as a result.
As far as the “vibrations” you get from food, I am a little skeptical that it is actual science. I was already convinced on the principles of juicing, raw, and food combining from “The Raw Food Detox Diet.” Having read (or at least skimmed!) a lot of books on these topics, it is still impressive that Natalia Rose has pulled it all together in both of these books.
As a side note, this book does contain recipes for flesh-based meals (fish and cheese). If you are a vegan, just skip those. If you want to add some raw to your diet, but don’t want to give up the flesh, rest assured that Natalia Rose is not preachy at all. She is happy to recommend more raw, and is not judgmental like some other authors.

3 Stars Best used as a supplement for Raw Food Detox Diet
First let me say, don’t read this book unless you’ve read Natalia Rose’s first, the Raw Food Detox Diet. That being said, this book was a little to new-agey for me, I don’t understand or am interested in how much specific foods “vibrate.” I bought this book because it does expand, recipe wise and question and answer wise from her previous book, which is what I was looking for. Two thumbs up for the new and numerous recipes, along with finding the answers to questions I had after reading her first book.
For those interested in chi, energy, nutritional vibrations, etc this book would be great for you. If you’re looking for a diet plan that will ease your body into regularly eating large amounts of raw food, but not completely push you into “raw foodism” and take the weight off at the same time, then her first book is what I suggest.

This is a great DVD, but I like her Personal Trainer instead, just because there are so many of her DVD workouts combined on one DVD.
4 Stars good workout, bad teacher
i’m giving 4 stars because it really is a great workout compared to most “real” bellydancing. i had fun, i worked up a sweat, and i learned to ignore how bad the “dancers” are. rania is by far one of the worst belly dancers i have seen. she is stiff with no fluidity or grace, tends to be slightly off beat, and gives little instruction, so make sure you have previous belly dancing experience before giving this a try, especially if you want to learn real techniques of bellydancing. there is absolutely nothing sensual or subtle about rania’s dancing!
if you want to learn the ART of bellydancing and not just do a watered-down hip-hop version of repetitive hip jolts, then i suggest a dvd called “sensual bellydance with blanca.” it is much more graceful and dance-like (and super sexy…my husband friggin’ loves it!), but it isn’t as good of an aerobic workout.
4 Stars Great fast-paced bellydance workout for those who know basic moves
L. Hawkins “Laura Wilde” wrote a great review 1/2005.
I disliked Rania’s previous 4 disk set because the music was faked & boring, she moved slow & stiffly, she would repeat the same move so many times, you’d only learn about 4-6 moves in 30 min & the background dancers looked bored. The good thing about it was she would teach you 1/2 several times & normal speed several times.
This is her best other then her “personal trainer” (since then it’s ok if dance stiffly since it’s like a gym workout) As L. Hawkins said, it’s fast paced, you get your heart rate up, the dancers are more fluid, though occasionally I saw a bored expression towards the end & the moves stringed together felt pretty good. She gives good instructions, telling you the move, how to do it & dancer’s 8 count to stay on beat.
She moves stiffly still, but it’s so fast, you barely notice other then making sure you’re keeping up.
The warm up even includes several types of figure 8s, the routine has hip drops & w/leg lift, hip drops 3x, hip bumps w/step back, hip twists & shimmies, a slow turn, hip back, vertical figure 8s & couple more moves.
The cool down is nice & slow with sitting fwd bend & more.
The bonus 9 min workout is more gym drill style which is more her style that will really tone you fast.

You do have to know basics in belly dancing. I love this DVD, and have seen the results fast.
Depending, on my schedule I try to use it at least 4 times a week in combination with a sculpting DVD.
5 Stars Great Workout If U Know the Movements
This is the best of the Rania workouts. The music was a great step up from the poorly polytonic music in the other series. I recently purchased the initial box set and found it was too slow for me. Because there is no instructional directions in this video for the movements, I suggest anyone who feels the movements are too hard, try checking out Rania’s box series. Ever step that is performed in “Too Hip” is taught in the either Pure Sweat, Cardio Shimmy, Hip Hop Drop, or Bellydance Boogie at a slower in depth pace.

I received a free yearly subscription after enjoying Stonyfield Farms yogurt. I found absolutely no content worthy of reading. 75% of the tiny magazine was ads for medications, which I live a much more natural lifestyle than that. This magazine was not for me. I thoroughly enjoy this magazine. It has so many articles pertaining to health issues and healthier living. Articles about daily living, and stories about people who have had lifestyle changes. All aspects of health are covered in this magazine. It discusses medications, vitamins, sleep issues, diet and exercise. Plus, it is a handy size to slip into my purse, so I take it with me and can read it when I am waiting for an appointment or just have a few minutes.
